Chef is developed and operated by Tahlia Labs Ltd., a company registered in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains how Chef collects, uses and handles information when you use the Chef mobile app or related services.

1. Information we may collect

Chef may collect information you provide directly, including your account details, profile information, saved recipes, uploaded images, voice notes, recipe text, imported recipe URLs, published community recipes, support messages and account deletion requests.

Chef may also process technical information needed to operate, secure and improve the app, such as device, log, usage or diagnostic information.

2. How we use information

We use information to provide Chef’s features, including account access, recipe saving, recipe importing, photo uploads, voice note processing, AI cooking assistance, community publishing, support, safety, security, troubleshooting and service improvement.

3. Recipe, image and content data

You are responsible for the recipes, images, URLs, notes and other content you upload, import, save or publish through Chef. You should only upload, import or publish content that you own, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally allowed to use.

4. AI assistant

Chef may process recipe content, messages and related context to provide AI-powered cooking assistance. AI responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as professional, medical, nutritional, allergy or food safety advice.

5. Account deletion

You may request or initiate deletion of your Chef account. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated data, except where we are required or permitted to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or compliance reasons.

6. Third-party services

Chef may use third-party service providers to host, operate, analyse, secure or improve the app, and to provide features such as authentication, storage, analytics, diagnostics, AI processing or customer support. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to Chef.

7. Data retention

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Chef, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security and enforce our terms. Deleted account data will be removed or de-identified unless retention is required or permitted by law.
